Conversations Every Marketer is Having Right Now

If your content is mass-produced by AI with no human oversight, it could now be flagged and downgraded.

Google has made its position clear.

In recent updates, it’s directing its search quality raters to flag pages with low-quality AI-generated content, particularly when that content lacks originality, depth, or clear human oversight.

This doesn’t mean AI can’t be used. But it does mean that content created using AI must meet the same standards as any other: helpful, informative, and genuinely valuable to the user.

AI tools are just tools. They require structured input, brand understanding, and strategic oversight to create anything meaningful.

And to remain competitive in search, businesses must pair automation with intentional, human-led content creation. Because at the end of the day, Google still prioritises content that serves people, not algorithms.
