Internal newsletter programme for Sabik Offshore

CLIENT
Sabik Offshore – specialists in marking, lighting and railing systems for offshore wind farms.
CHALLENGE
Improving internal communication and keeping employees informed as the company grew across multiple locations.
OUTCOME
Developed an internal newsletter programme and management plan to provide employees with regular, consistent company information.

The brief

Sabik Offshore requested support in developing an internal newsletter, creating a more consistent internal communication that aligned with the business values and reflected the people behind the company.

What we did

We reshaped the newsletter into a more structured, content-led format:

  • Introduced a consistent mix of feature articles, company updates, and internal stories, giving each edition a clearer purpose and flow
  • Created dedicated sections such as employee highlights, charity/sponsorship information, events, and business updates to improve variety and engagement
  • Applied a strategic editorial approach, balancing longer-form content with shorter, more digestible updates
  • Established a repeatable format, making each edition easier to plan, contribute to, and navigate

To make the content more relatable, we interviewed employees for a spotlight section; these became a central feature of the newsletter, highlighting individual employees, their roles, milestones, and experiences. This improved engagement (employees looked forward to seeing their story online) and strengthened connection across teams.

Alongside this, we supported the ongoing delivery of the newsletter:

  • Working with Marketing team to gather and shape content
  • Planning and structuring each issue
  • Maintaining consistency in tone, format, and quality
  • Project Management, implementing and distributing the newsletter.

What we delivered

  • A consistent, recognisable internal communication channel that employees looked forward to receiving
  • A clearer structure and hyperlinked content section at the top, making each edition easier to read and engage with
  • Employee spotlights that added that human dimension
  • A defined framework for internal contributions, reducing ad-hoc input
  • A shift from occasional updates to a more planned and reliable communication approach

Client perspective

Jeremy Tygielski, Head of Marketing

We knew the newsletter was an important tool and we wanted to take it to the next level. Our work with the DXD team brought clarity and efficiency to our purpose, enabling us to hand the project over to a new member of the team. The DXD team helped us reach our goal, and we value the close collaboration of over 5 years."
